McLean Centre for Collaborative Discovery

McMaster’s newest landmark, the McLean Centre for Collaborative Discovery, is set to open later this year, bringing a vibrant new event destination to campus.

As the flagship home of the DeGroote School of Business, this state-of-the-art facility will overlook the north quad and sit steps away from the MSU Hub and the David Braley Athletic Centre.

Its prime location will offer seamless access to some of McMaster’s most flexible and popular event spaces, creating new opportunities for dynamic, connected, and innovative gatherings.

Event Spaces

BMO Connection Zone (1st floor)

Upon entry, guests will be welcomed into the BMO Connection Zone, a modern atrium defined by its signature feature staircase which serves as both seating and stage. With capacity for 500 guests, this space is purpose-built for movement and conversation, ideal for networking, social functions, and public remarks. A bold first impression to inspire connection and energy.

10th Floor Event Space

Located high above campus, the 10th floor unveils a bright, window-lined event space with sweeping views of the north campus and the west side of the Westdale neighbourhood. Designed for hosting up to 200 guests in banquet-style seating, the room comes fully outfitted with tables, chairs, and linens. A dedicated commercial kitchen enhances the experience, enabling efficient catering and exceptional service flow.

Catering

All catering will be freshly prepared in the 10th-floor commercial kitchen and served by McMaster Hospitality Services. A specially curated, MCCD-exclusive menu is currently being developed by our chef to enhance every event experience.

Room Rental

Rates are currently being finalized as the project reaches the final stages of completion. Half and full day rental packages will be available and include access to built-in audio-visual equipment (exact AV inclusions TBD).

Reservation Requests

Event planners may request to tentatively hold event dates through Conference & Event Services at this time. Until the official opening date is confirmed, we strongly recommend securing a backup location (such as The Hub, MUSC, or Alumni Memorial Hall).
